How exciting to discover my cupcakes on the cover of Cakes and Sugarcraft magazine! I find it is always thrilling to see my cakes in print but this is especially true when they are transformed into the cover of a magazine. The cupcakes themselves are decorated with piped buttercream roses and originally first appeared in my latest book ‘The contemporary cake decorating bible‘.
I created these cupcakes to show one of my students how to pipe buttercream roses successfully, I hope the instructions to be found in my bible book and in the magazine also help you create beautiful roses.
Tip: If you find buttercream too sweet for your taste, why not try Swiss meringue buttercream as it is less sweet and has a beautiful glossy finish that doesn’t fade – you’ll find the recipe in my cupcake and bible books.
