Shipping & Delivery for Lindy's Books
These are calculated by weight. You will be given a number of options to choose from and shipping will be added to your basket.
Postage options explained:
First Class (UK): For delivery approximately 1-2 working day after despatch, including Saturdays. For orders over £50 please use recorded or special delivery. For items needed by a specific date please opt for special delivery as we have found that very occasionally Royal Mail can take up to two weeks to deliver first class post!!.
Recorded First Class (UK): Standard first class with signature and barcode scanning on delivery, ideal for low value orders. For orders over £50 in value please use special delivery.
Special Delivery (UK): Guaranteed by 1pm the day after despatch (weekday delivery only). Ideal when you want a speedy service or your order is valuable. Please note that you will need to be available to sign for your parcel.
Saturday Special Delivery (UK): Guaranteed by 1pm Saturday, use this option when you are ordering Thursday pm or Friday am and you would like your parcel to arrive on Saturday. Please note that you will need to be available to sign for your parcel.
We aim to ship orders within 2 days of receipt of payment. If your order despatch is delayed for any reason we will contact you. Should your order be required by a specific date, please let us know either when you place your order or shortly afterwards by email, or call us to let us know, and we will endeavour to meet your deadline.
Postage and Packing:
The majority of our UK orders are shipped by Standard Royal Mail first class post. Standard P&P costs for the UK mainland are based on the weight of your order and the delivery method you choose.
The delivery time of your order will depend on the service chosen and on the weight and size of your order.
For all orders that are not received, we require the failure of delivery to be reported to us in writing within 28 days of the date of purchase. Failure to do so will forfeit any subsequent claim.
Orders will be despatched to the address entered in at the checkout stage. We cannot take responsibility for orders not being received due to an incorrect address being entered. Once you have placed your order please check that the shipping address on your confirmation email is correct, please contact us immediately if this is not the case.
The buyer agrees to cover any additional costs incurred in the event of an undeliverable parcel due to an incorrect address or an unclaimed parcel being returned to Lindy's Cakes.
Credit Card Security:
All online payments to Lindy's cakes are made using a secure server. Please be aware that at no point is Lindy's Cakes Ltd passed any details regarding your credit card. We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet.
