Excited but a little nervous, would probably be the best way to described how I felt on Tuesday morning, my first day of filming. I have been filmed quite a few times before, however I never find getting started easy, its just seems totaly unnatural to talk to large black hole, rather than a friendly person! This is what faced me…..

Can you spot the decorated egg – the crew’s idea – it was to remind me which camera to look at! …….And this is the kitchen from behind the back monitor, the view you’ll more or less see on the DVD’s – fantastic kitchen isn’t it, so much space!

Despite all this equipment, the team from Magic Carpet Films, quickly put me at my ease. I had decided that we would film the cake jewellery DVD first as there was less to potentially go wrong. The hardest part was the introduction, we had to do a few takes, but once I got onto the actual demonstrating everything just flowed – provided I didn’t lean over my work and obscure the overhead camera! All the hours I’d spent preparing the many steps were worth it and the cake jewellery looked fabulous on camera.

By the end of the day I was exhausted, in pain (my back was burning – I’d been sitting still for far to long) but happy – one down one to go!
