“I feel really chuffed” and “I’m definitely coming back, I’ve learnt so much” were a couple of the comments from last Fridays novelty cake carving class. For many of the students it was the first time they had ever carved a cake so at first it was all a little daunting….however once I’d showed them in simple steps how it’s done, they were more than eager to get on with their own cakes. I’ve always found that once a seemingly complicated cake is broken down into bit size instructions, even the most reluctant student can achieve great things.
The cake was one I’d originally designed, literally on the back on of envelope, whilst on the phone to my publishers. The cake version then appeared in my Party animal cakes book and has been popular ever since.
The demand for this workshop has been so great that we will definitely be holding another at some point in the future, however if you simply can’t wait, then we do still have a few spaces left on the cheeky chimp cake carving course on the Friday 3rd July, click here for details.

Thankyou for the Novelty Cake Workshop, Fri 8 May. I finished my “cat” cake at home, and it was much admired at my daughters hen party the following evening. I now have the knowledge & confidence to do a carved cake for my twin grandsons’ birthday, and I’ll look forward to attending other Lindy classes in the future.

I’m so pleased to hear your cake was much admired. Good luck with the twins birthday cake – I’m sure you’ll enjoy putting everything you learnt on Friday into practice again.

No offence or anything but this cake is out of a magazine!!

Hi Perosn
With respect, my perfectly exotic cat cake is one of my own original designs, first published in my party animal cake book back in 2006. It has proved very popular and has been used as an extract in quite a few magazines over the years since. I have taught this particular class many times both in the UK and abroad – it again always proves popular.
Best wishes
