Jet lag…I do dislike this woozy feeling. I guess its just not natural to try and change my body clock so drastically so quickly! Well as you can probably tell, I’ve arrived and I’m on the internet! I had to wait until 10 am this morning for the shops to open, a long wait when I woke at 5 am. However, I have now bought a prepaid mobile internet dongle. The wonders of technology.
Today has been all about settling in and sightseeing. I spotted a cupcake shop on George Street, in the main shopping area of Sydney. All cupcakes $5. They were very simply decorated with lots of buttercream. Most were ‘muffin’ sized but they also had a selection of cake sized, giant cupcakes as well – not so sure about those!
I spent this afternoon sampling the delights of Sydney’s southern beaches, Bondi, Coogee and many others – oh to live by the ocean! Kath Swansbra, some of you may know her work via the Squires magazine or you may have seen her at the NEC a few years ago, also came along for the ride. What a talented and lovely lady. I will try and photograph her display cake for the seminar, the detail is truly amazing.
Hope to meet some of you here at the cake seminar on Monday
