If you’ve been following me on Twitter you’ll know that I’m now in Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast. Today was my first official appointment here, a book signing at Kitchenware Plus – a fabulous kitchenware store on the Pacific Highway at Loganholme.
I spent a delightful morning talking to a variety of their customers, who I discovered originated from all parts of the world including Canada and South Africa!! Some were experienced sugarcrafters who had dropped in to see me and others were just starting out on their sugarcraft journey and eager to learn all they could about my books, classes in the area and the best way to find out more information. It was a delight to talk to them all.
My books went down a treat and I don’t think many went away empty-handed, in fact, we ran out Party Animals Cakes and my Bake me I’m yours…Cookie Books!!
Tomorrow and Monday I will be teaching in-store so do pop by if you fancy seeing what my students and I are up to.

I wish I had known that you were in Brisbane – I would have loved to attend! Just found it a little amusing that you said you were on the Sunshine Coast in Brisbane (lol). I live on the glorious Sunshine Coast and it’s about 2 hours north of Brisbane. You don’t know what you missed!!

Hi, apologies for the geographical error! By that stage of my trip I was on information overload – it was hot, the sun was shining, I was by the coast and people were talking about the sunshine coast – pleased it made you laugh!
Best wishes
Lindy

Having only just discovered this website I’m soooooo disappointed to find out you were at Kitchenware Plus so recently! I’m from UK but currently live near Loganholme and often pop into this shop for a browse and occasionally buy stuff (I’m a poor student!), would have been lovely to have met you. Hope you enjoyed your visit. The weather in Brissy is lovely in Winter/Spring so you picked a good time of year to visit. It’s going to be interesting coping with the heat and humidity of summer when making and decorating cakes, hmmmmm … !
