We’re just back from an exhaustingly fabulous day at Squires Kitchen Annual Exhibition in Farnham, Surrey. This show celebrates sugarcraft, food and cake decoration. What a wonderful excuse to leave the office behind and surround one self in sugar heaven! We exhibited over two days taking a selection of products to share. This year Lindy’s Cakes focused on cookies, cutters, cake jewellery, beads, wires, stencils, DVD’s and books. It was just great to see so many people visit us at our stand. As wonderful as Facebook, Emails and Blogs are for communicating, nothing beats meeting someone face to face. That’s why the team at Lindy’s Cakes enjoy workshops and exhibitions so much! It’s what Lindy’s cakes is all about…
I know many of you enjoy meeting Lindy. She too enjoys connecting with fellow sugarcraft enthusiasts. It is always great to get the chance to explain to people how to use certain products and how to get the best out of them. We were delighted at the response we got from our Stencils. Lindy is a big fan of stencils and it seems we are getting quite a following with them now. They are remarkably easy to use and so effective. You loved our cookie display box too! There are so many techniques you can experiment on cookies and Lindy’s ‘display’ cookies highlight that.
We also took a selection of cakes to display on our stand. Talk about cakes on film… are you ready for your close up Wonky Cake!! As one lady commented ‘”it is just lovely to see this cake in real life, it’s stunning”. I know I harp on about the ‘Cut Work Wonky’ being my personal favorite ‘Lindy Smith’ cake, but when you see the detail in real life it really is awe inspiring. And that’s what is great about attending a show if you are fortunate to be able to do so!
All in all Squires was a success and we thoroughly enjoyed it! All roads now lead to Cake International at Birmingham NEC in November. Hope to see you there!
