I simply love decorating cookies – cookies are all about having fun in the kitchen creating gorgeous tasty treats that everyone loves! Serve them with coffee or place them in clear cookie bags or decorative boxes and give to friends and family or use as wedding favours!
When it comes to decorating cookies, there are so many exciting possibilities. Last year I was a demonstrator at the British Sugarcraft Guild’s Region 7 demonstration weekend in Milton Keynes. Over the course of the weekend I demonstrated numerous techniques and created a range of cookies as demonstration peices. Here are a selection of some of my decorated wedding cookies, I hope they inspire you.
If you like to have a go yourself here is a list of the products I used:
wonky wedding cake cookie cutter
Top tier: gem pendant stencil
Middle tier: winterthur hearts stencil
Base tier: my Chinese floral circle stencil
Moulds: daisy flower from Flower Set – Mini Misc plus 2 sizes of perfect pearls
I often like to challenge myself with a new colour scheme and this demonstration weekend was no exception! Some colours I thoroughly enjoy working with, others I do not and interestingly if I’m trying out a new combination, it is often not until I start that I find out whether or not I like working with a set of colours! By the way I’m delighted with the scheme I chose.
The products I’ve used on the cookie above were:
wonky wedding cake cookie cutter
Top tier my peony stencil
Middle tier my Chinese floral circle stencil
Base tier the Winterthur hearts stencil
Mould: roses galore
A slightly different colour scheme for this wonky wedding cake cookie.
On the cookies above I used the following :
wonky wedding cake cookie cutter
Top tier my japanese repeat pattern stencil
Middle tier my peony stencil
Base tier the contemporary hearts stencil
Mould: flower from flower set 1 – small
