Festivals have never been so popular in the UK. Over the past 5 years we have seen micro-festivals pop up everywhere, from Scotland to the Isle of Wight, you don’t have to travel too far from home to find a funky festival to attend! With the godfather of all festivals Glastonbury taking care of the music side of things there was always going to be room for bringing arts and food into a festival situation and that exactly what’s happened. No longer are the headlining acts exclusive to the music industry we are seeing chef and artists names attached to events that are attracting huge numbers.
It didn’t take long for Lindy to be asked to do her stuff at the “Foodies Festival” and this summer she has demonstrated and inspired visitors at both Hampton Court & Clapham Common food festivals – what a privilege!
Demonstrating under the bright lights of the Cake & Bake Theatre, Lindy was the only sugarcrafter asked to attend these large gatherings of food and drink enthusiasts. You can see from the screen shot below that her name was up there with well known food and drink personalities Jamie Oliver and Oz Clarke – I don’t know about you, but here at Lindy’s cakes we are certainly impressed!
It was also fab to see her bluebird Cupcake featured on the Foodies Festival website and promotional material. Proof once again that Lindy truly is at the top of her game.
Judging by the feedback we’ve received everyone seemed thrilled to have seen Lindy at the London foodies festivals.
Here’s a sample quote from one of Lindy’s fans (via our Facebook page) :
“My daughter came to the (Foodies Festival) show today with her friend, they are both 11, and said how fantastic u are. They came home and baked and Hannah is asking for all your books, u are great role model.” Rachel Mckeever
If you’d also like to see Lindy live, she will be demonstrating at both the Cake & Bake show at Earls Court in September and Cake International at the NEC in November. Remember to book your tickets in plenty of time, they do tend to sell out very quickly – you’ve been warned!
