November means Cake International the most important event in our cake calendar here at Lindy’s Cakes. This year the exhibition was the largest ever with exhibitors from right around the world. For me it’s always a wonderful opportunity, if only briefly, to catch up with all the students I’ve taught from both the UK and across the globe, be they from Italy, Brazil or Australia etcetera….. It’s also a marvellous opportunity for me to meet those who I have inspired through my many cake decorating books. This year, for the first time, I had a dedicated book signing station, which worked a treat – did you spot it?
A big thank you to everyone who came over and told me how I am their inspiration, the reason they do cakes – I loved hearing your cake stories and hearing about the impact that my work has on your lives.
I always find when I’m away from home that Social Media is a wonderful way of keeping in touch with you all, so thank you for the Tweets and Facebook comments that you write in return. Here is a selection to give a flavour of the conversations.
