My Australian cake adventure is about to start! I’m packed and ready to go. I’m visiting three cities, demonstrating and teaching in five venues and covering twelve different topics. It’s a big trip! All the months of organising are now over and I’m off tomorrow on the first leg, arriving in Sydney on Friday Evening.
With so much stuff and only a 23kg baggage allowance, planning and packing my suitcase has been a military operation. I got to 17kg yesterday before adding any of my clothes. However with the help of my friend Fiona, from My Capsule Wardrobe, I have managed to stay under the 23kg. Just hope I’ll have room to bring a few souvenirs back!
I am planning to write a regular blog and twitter updates to let you all know what amazing cakes I see, what I learn about sugarcraft down under, perhaps some cake class reports etc. This is, of course, reliant on having broadband access and time available, so fingers crossed.
