Many, but not all, of Friday’s students were new to sugarcraft so I was surprised but delighted that they all managed to decorate well above the class average of 5 decorated cookies. They were also very keen to take the extra cookies home to practice with – I’m expecting great things…..!!!
As you can see, I introduced the students to range of techniques including stencilling and embossing and gave them a selection of fashion cookies to experiment with.
Here are some of my demonstration cookies. I just love the new mehndi stencil I used on the shopping bag and the embosser on the pink shoe is an old favourite.
My next cookie decorating class is on the 10th July and we’ll be decorating cookies for summer…..swim suits, ice creams and flip flops etc, hope you can join me…..click here for more details
Did you know cookies are also known across the globe as: biscuits, keks, galletas, platezchen, biscotti, koekje, brunkage, pepper biscuits, pepparkakut, pepparkakor, piparkoogid, piparkukas and wafers. Are there any other fabulous names for cookies that we are not mentioning here?

Hi Louise
You’ll find that you commented yesturday on the cookie picture – if you click on the picture you’ll find your comment. I’ve not discovered a way, as yet, of moving comments around!

Hi Lindy,
Adding my thanks to you for a wonderful day on Friday. Thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills and meeting a lovely group of equally enthusiastic ‘students’. The day flew by but it was worth all the effort to come from Dublin. I already have an order for 50 dresses!!!

Wow Grainne well done. I hope your flight back was good. I ordered some cutters and embossers yesterday which arrived today. Thank you for the swift delivery! I am looking forward to making some more shoes at the weekend and also the balloons on sticks for my daughters birthday.

Tip for the balloon cookies: you’ll need the cookie dough slightly thicker than 5mm, so that when you insert the sticks they go completely into the cookies. Have fun!
