We are always interested, and intrigued, as to what our workshop students do with the skills they take away with them after a Lindy’s course. We get to know our students quite well, especially the ones that are ‘ frequent workshoppers’! Let me introduce you to Sarah Dawson. Sarah is a regular student of ours, she also runs a super cake company called ‘Cake & Eat it’ in Oxfordshire, England. Sarah has completed Lindy’s cake jewellery, wonky cake, christmas bauble and cat novelty workshops. Her enthusiasm and passion for her craft evident at every class.
A trained chef with many years of catering experience Sarah has sucessfully married her love of baking and patisserie work and created a cake business that is not only successful but also fits around home life. This is something that Lindy can relate to. She also embarked on her cake career whilst developing Lindy’s Cakes Ltd with small children in tow!
Sarah says “Since having children, the inevitable birthday parties have given me the perfect excuse to have a bit more fun with sugarcraft and of course get some great experience and improve my skills. The three boys in the house are my quality control checkers and take their cake tasting duties very seriously indeed! The little business has expanded considerably since then and I have been fortunate enough to make and create celebration cakes for weddings and many other celebrations”
Sarah has created a stylish collection of cakes, cupcakes and cookies. With a portfolio of over 100 creations there is much to inspire you at ‘Cake & Eat it’. Sarah is passionate about the quality of her cakes both in taste & texture. This coupled with being a perfectionist regarding the ‘finish’ of her cake decoration, you are guaranteed a very special cake indeed! We applaud you Sarah!
